Ayon kay Vice President Duterte, 22 taon na nasa Kongreso ang ACT Teachers ngunit nananatiling kinubkob ng sunud-sunod na mga problema ang education sector ng bansa.
Sinabi ni Vice President Duterte na sa nakalipas na 8 buwan, patuloy na gumagawa ang Department of Education (DepEd) ng mga hakbang upang matugunan ang mga problemang kinakaharap ng mga estudyante at tauhan ng edukasyon.
“I have never claimed to be anything — but for the past eight months, the Department of Education has made strides in addressing the problems burdening our learners and education personnel,” pahayag ni Sec. Sara Z. Duterte, Vice President of the Philippines | Department of Education.
Ngunit aniya halatang walang alam ang ACT Teachers at sadyang hindi binibigyang pansin ang mga development na nangyayari sa loob ng sektor.
“Allow me to educate ACT Teachers because the group is obviously uninformed, if not deliberately paying no attention to the developments happening within the sector,” dagdag ni VP Duterte.
“Ayon kay VP Duterte na sa tulong ng mga partner, matagumpay na nabuksan ng kagawaran ang mga paaralan at nasimulan muli ang on-site na pag-aaral — isang desisyon na mahigpit na tinutulan at binatikos ng ACT Teachers aniya. Kaya tanong ng pangalawang pangulo na kung ano kaya ang mangyayari sa mga mag-aaral kung hahayaan mangibabaw ang demand ng ACT Teachers sa pangangailangang muling buksan ang face-to-face learning. What would have happened to our learners if we allowed the demand of ACT Teachers to prevail over the urgency to reopen face-to-face learning?” wika ni VP Duterte.
Dagdag pa ni Vice President Duterte na 12 taon na sa Kongreso ang ACT Teacher, ngunit ang sektor ng edukasyon ay nananatiling kinubkob ng sunud-sunod na mga problema.
“ACT Teachers, meanwhile, has been in Congress for 12 years now. Yet the education sector remains besieged by a string of problems,” saad ng pangalawang pangulo.
Sinasabing kinakatawan ng ACT Teachers ang mga guro sa Kongreso pero aniya ang mga guro ng pampublikong paaralan ay patuloy na nahaharap sa mga pinansiyal na problema at mga mag-aaral na nahaharap sa mga hamon.
“For 12 years, ACT Teachers has been claiming to represent teachers in Congress. Yet our public school personnel continue to face financial woes and we have a generation of learners that are facing several challenges,” ani VP Duterte.
Kaya tanong ulit ng pangalawang pangulo kung ano nga ba ang ginawa nitong nagpapakilalang kinatawan ng sektor ng edukasyon upang malutas ang mga problemang kinakaharap ng sektor ngayon.
“What has this self-proclaimed education sector representative done to remedy the problems we are facing now?” aniya.
Dagdag pa ni Vice President Duterte, sa loob ng 12 taon hindi man lang tahasang kinondena ng ACT Teachers ang karahasang ginagawa ng teroristang grupong NPA laban sa mga mag-aaral, mga guro, at iba pang tauhan ng paaralan.
“And for 12 years now, ACT Teachers cannot even publicly and explicitly condemn the violence perpetrated by the terrorist group NPA against our learners, our teachers, and other school personnel,” pahayag pa nito.
Higit sa lahat aniya ang ACT Teachers ay pinamumunuan ni France Castro na hindi lamang kumikilos bilang abogado ng teroristang NPA, kundi nahaharap din sa mga kaso para sa umano’y pagkidnap sa mga anak ng indigenous people sa Davao Region.
“To top it all, it is headed by France Castro, who is not only acting as lawyer of the terrorist NPA, but is also facing charges for the alleged kidnapping of Indigenous People’s children from Davao Region,” pagtatapos ni VP Duerte.
