Bacolod City- Tinatayang nasa 400 Negrense applicants ang nag-apply sa Armed Forces of the Philippines Service Aptitude Test o AFPSAT examination sa Carlos Hilado Memorial State University (CHMSU) Alijis Extension, Brgy Alijis, Bacolod City nitong Hulyo 17 hanggang Hulyo 19 taong kasalukuyan.
Ang naturang 3-day AFPSAT at AQE/SWE examination ay pinangunahan ng Army Recruitment Office Visayas (AROV) sa pangunguna ni Major Romel Parohinog, Chief Army Recruitment Office Visayas at ng mga tauhan ng 303rd Infantry Brigade at 3rd Forward Support Medical Company (3FSMC).
Sa 400 na nag-apply, 172 sa mga ito ang kumuha ng Officer Candicate Course (OCC) habang 228 naman ang Candidate Soldier Course (CSC). Ang naturang mga aplikante ay mula pa sa ibat-ibang bayan at lungsod ng Negros Occidental kabilang na ang lone district ng Bacolod City.
Samantala, nagpaabot naman ng pasasalamat si Brigadier General Inocencio Pasaporte, Brigade Commander of 303rd Infantry Brigade, sa lahat ng mga Negrenseng aplikante.

The Philippine Army will select the best and the brightest aspirants that will meet the quota for calendar year 2023. Their efforts and dedication shows how determined and committed they are of attaining their dreams to join the Army. They must be aware of the many sacrifices in the service, yet, they decided to apply and start the journey of becoming a soldier who is always ready to uphold the Army’s mandate of serving the people and securing the land.”
