Noong Disyembre 12, 2022, iniulat ng Department of Health – Eastern Visayas ang kabuuang bilang ng mga kaso ng COVID-19 sa rehiyon.
Sa 64,453 ay may kabuuang mga nakarekober na 63,661 (98.77%) at kabuuang pagkamatay na 687 (1.06%) at aktibong kaso na 105 (0.16%).
Mayroon namang 89 na bagong kaso ang naitala mula Disyembre 05 hanggang 11, 2022 sa 839 na resulta ng laboratory test. Lahat ng sample ay sinuri sa apat na COVID-19 Laboratories ng Rehiyon – Eastern Visayas Regional COVID-19 Testing Center (EVRCTC), Divine Word Hospital Virology Laboratory (DWHVL), Ormoc Molecular Diagnostic Center (OMDC) at Salvacion Oppus Yñiguez Memorial Provincial Hospital – Molecular Laboratory (SOYMPHML). Ito ay kumakatawan sa 8.86% positivity rate.
May isa ring malubha at kritikal na kaso ang na-admit dahil sa COVID-19. Sa 49 na kama sa ICU na inilaan para sa mga pasyenteng may COVID-19, 11 (22.45%) ang okupado. Samantala, 21.07% ng 1,125 non-ICU COVID-19 bed ang kasalukuyang ginagamit.
2,867,976 na indibidwal o 84.50% ng target na populasyon ang ganap na nabakunahan laban sa COVID-19 habang 530,170 na indibidwal ang nakatanggap na ng kanilang mga booster shot.
Mensahe ng DOH-Eastern Visayas, “With the downgraded Alert Level status in the different parts of the region and the gradual decline of our COVID-19 cases in the region, let us continue to be vigilant and practice the minimum public health standards in all settings. As we go through a more lenient implementation of our border restrictions which cause our mobility to increase, it is very important to still practice our health protocols. The public is also reminded that intensified vaccination rollout against COVID-19 is still being conducted all over the region. Vaccines are still our best defense against the virus and its variants. Get vaccinated and boosted for strengthened community protection”.
