Salaries of Anakpawis Congressmen go largely to NPA Units

Pedro Arnado alias Ka Benoy revealed that Anakpawis Congressmen receive only P2,000 in salaries and the excess goes to NPA units. Some of the recipients he mentioned were Guerilla Front 55 (GF 55), GF 57, GF 74 and GF 15 all of the Southern Mindanao Regional Committee (SMRC) of the CPP NPA.

The current salary of a Congressman in the Philippines is Salary Grade 31 or P273,000 to P312,000 per month.

Ka Benoy was the former regional Chairman of the KMP or Kilusang Magbubukid ng Pilipinas and overall treasurer at the national level in 2016 until he returned to the government on June 22, 2021.

He also disclosed that the purpose of the CPP NPA NDF in interfering in the elections is to raise funds. He said, in their meetings, it is always mentioned that they need to raise money before the election because their organization is poor. They are also allegedly told to raise money after the election – including the salaries of congressmen and Anakpawis partylist projects.

He also said that while he was the Regional Chairman of the KMP in Southern Mindanao, he was also a member of the SMRC (CPP NPA unit) and his “collectives” were all armed.

He said they are already meeting in the mountains before October before a national and local election. According to him, in the said meeting, the nominees of Anakpawis were presented and agreed upon, and when the assembly took place in Manila, the nominees were just read to make it appear to the public that a democratic process in choosing the nominees happened.

Ka Benoy knows very well the 1st nominee of Anakpawis in 2016-2019, Ariel Casilao. Apart from the fact that Casilao came from the SMRC and is also said to be a high-ranking official of the CPP NPA, his brother Eric Jude Casilao is the general secretary of the Regional Peasant Bureau of the SMRC.

It will be recalled that Eric Jude Casilao is the 2nd nominee of Anak ng Bayan Partylist, former name of Kabataan Partylist. ###
