Inanunsyo ng Samar First District Engineering Office na kamakailan lamang ay natapos na nila ang road re-blocking sa kahabaan ng Calbayog Diversion Road habang ang konstruksyon ng cross-drainage sa Barangay Carayman sa Calbayog City ay nagpapatuloy.
Anila, ang nasabing proyekto ay nagkakahalaga ng Php4.62 million na pinunduhan sa ilalim ng General Appropriations Act (GAA) for FY 2022 bilang bahagi ng Routine Maintenance sa loob ng distrito.
“A road re-blocking was completed along Calbayog Diversion Road (Brgy. Carayman) which spans a total length of 0.238 lane kilometers. Re-blocking is the repair of a damaged section of the road to keep our existing and future highways in optimum condition which is applied intermittently along. Meanwhile, single barrel drainage that is being constructed in Barangay Carayman will span 22.5 linear meters long with a 1.8-meter height. The scope of work includes upgrading the drainage from Reinforced Concrete Pipe Culvert (RCPC) to Reinforced Concrete Box Culvert (RCBC) as this has a firm frame structure that can handle and drain large amounts of water,” pahayag ng DPWH Samar First District Engineering Office nitong Martes, Mayo 30, 2023.
