Pinuri ni Major General Benedict Arevalo 3rd Infantry (Spearhead) Division Commander, ang 94th Infantry Battalion at ang PNP sa pag-neutralize sa apat na miyembro ng CPP-NPA Terrorists sa Binalbagan, Negros Occidental nitong Miyerkules, July 6, 2022.
“I commend our troops and our PNP counterparts for the persistent efforts in defeating the communist terrorists in Negros Island. The demise of the four NPAs is a big blow to the CPP-NPA Terrorist on the island. It is the result of the relentless combat operations of our troops from the 94IB with the support of member-agencies of NTF-ELCAC and the people of Negros,” ani MGen Arevalo.
Gayundin, kinilala rin ni MGen Arevalo ang kooperasyon ng 94th Infantry Battalion surrenderees at concerned citizen sa pagbibigay ng impormasyon tungkol sa lokasyon ng nasabing mga NPA.
Dagdag pa nya, “We are thankful that we have the full support of our surrenderees and local populace who willingly provided our troops significant reports on the whereabouts of these communist terrorists,”
Nito lamang ika-6 ng Hulyo, matapos makatanggap ng impormasyon, agad na nagsagawa ng Joint Enhanced Military Police Operations (JEMPO) ang 94IB kasama ang Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office, at Binalbagan PNP laban sa mahigit kumulang 14 na CNT sa Sitio Amilis, Barangay Santol, sa Binalbagan. Tinatayang umabot sa tatlong minuto ang enkwentro na nagresulta sa pagkamatay ng apat (4) na NPA.
Narekober ng mga awtoridad ang mga bangkay ng mga nasawing NPA, habang nakumpiska naman ang mga baril at iba pang kagamitang pangdigma, at mga personal na gamit ng mga nasawi mula sa engkwentro.
Samantala nanawagan naman si 94IB Commanding Officer, LTC Van Donald Almonte sa mga natitirang NPA na itigil na ang paggamit ng karahasan at sumuko na sa batas para sila ay tuluyan ng makapagsimulang muli at mamuhay ng matiwasay.
